Energy Audits
Your utility bill may be shocking, but it doesn’t tell you when your energy use peaks, how best to reduce power consumption, or through which cracks and holes your hard-earned money is flying.
We think it’s worth finding out.
A whole-house energy audit is the first step on the path toward energy savings to create a more comfortable, healthier, and affordable home.
Our whole-house energy audit looks at the air leakage and insulation levels of the building envelope (windows, doors, walls, ceilings, floors); combustion equipment (boilers, furnaces and water heaters); and the movement of air within the home to ensure that you and your family are breathing air that is fresh, healthy and safe. We use an infrared camera to identify air leakage and deficient insulation, a blower door to measure the air leakage, and a duct blaster to test the seal on your ducts.
Using these high tech tests, other diagnostic tools and well-honed observational skills, our professional energy auditors identify and explain how and why your house is costing you money. Then, our team will recommend a set of cost-effective improvements that will give you:
-
Maximum comfort
-
Minimum energy bills
-
Optimal indoor air quality
-
Building health and safety
At BMTG, we only carry out comprehensive whole-house efficiency audits, because quick “clipboard audits” are simply not good enough to determine the best improvements for energy savings in your home.
